The first version of Arteria was born inside of Deloitte. Incubating inside of the largest consulting firm in the world had its advantages – we had access to experts in every vertical and were able to very much punch above our weight.
Our real beginning, however, was a few chapters back. In 2009, Shelby left the partnership of a big law firm to start a Legal Tech business (which Abrar joined a moment later as one of the key employees). Despite being (very) early to the space, the business grew meteorically. It sold to Deloitte a few years later (which is were we met Jono!) and the rest is history.
The point is, we have been at this for a while. We have spent our last 15 years working on documentation problems with some of the largest companies in the world. The financial services vertical has always been our passion.
Documents are central to nearly every workflow in financial services. They are the workbench of a deal, the medium for collaboration, and – almost always – the point where automation breaks down.
This is why we started Arteria. The market needed a single set of documentation capabilities to bring end-to-end processes into the modern world. Our mission is to make core operations frictionless in financial services. We believe institutions are faster, smarter, and more client-centric with Arteria.
Welcome to our journey!
